What is KidArt . . .Gramzy started by painting whimsical figures onto canvas with acrylics, for decoration in her granddaughter's room. It was at once realized that a special frame was needed which could be decorated to coordinate the theme of the whimsical art figure. Thus, the idea of a raw wood frame that could be customized to fit the art work, and the name KidArt, since it was being created for a kid's room.
Next the idea evolved that the custom painted framing could be expanded to include an array of items, such as . . . Birth Announcements, Special Invitations, and Art Work Created By Children.
Today Gramzy continues to create whimsical art for children's rooms, as well as customized framing for those special child mementos that people want to preserve for the future, while adding to the decoration of their child's room.
THE FRAME CONSTRUCTION
Framing is custom sized to fit the contents, it is constructed o cabinet grade 2½" wide poplar lumber, and the art work or memento is placed under quality Tru Vue ® glass. The art material is then dust sealed and an appropriate wall hanger is attached to the back, rubber wall bumpers are also attached to help secure the picture positioning on the wall.

THE ART WORK & FRAME PAINTING

The whimsical art is painted on a canvas covered mat board with acrylic paints. Mementos are affixed to a canvas covered mat board, that is color coordinated with the colors of the memento, as well as the frame, and the room interior. The frame is painted a coordinating color, with artistic designs, to compliment the memento. Finally the frame is sprayed with a clear acrylic matte coating for extra protection.
